COMMUNITY NEWS
January 28, 2022
Your American Legion Post 192 has been hard at work behind the scenes. Although the Covid pandemic has altered our ability to run our post as we have in the past, we have been involved in the helping our community in the following areas:
We have delivered and help install generators to two homes in the area so that those served will not have to go cold or seek shelter upon the next power outage.
We have participated in Norwell's Memorial Day celebration by supplying a color guard and 48" wreath in honor of those who have given the supreme sacrifice for our nation.
We have driven chemotherapy patients back and forth for to area hospitals for their needed treatment.
We have done some plowing for veterans who could not get out of their homes during snow storms.
We continue to look for a home and are very hopeful that one day the town will help us in this effort. Our efforts have fallen short on the old police station and the Grange building, but we will continue to push forward and ask our town for a home for our veterans, just as many surrounding towns in the south shore have supplied to theirs.
